Sewage Ejector Pump Replacement
When sewage lines are unable to flow to the main sewer line by force of gravity, sewage ejector pumps are required to do the work. Also commonly referred to as waste grinding systems, if your home plumbing fixtures are installed below the main sewer line, chances are you already have a sewer ejector pump installed, likely in the basement.
Sewer ejector pumps work by pumping liquid and solid waste from drain lines such as laundry or bathroom fixtures back into the main sewer line. The pumps are installed usually in the home’s basement, where a basin is dug to hold the excess waste below ground. When the excess waste reaches a certain level in the basin, the pump turns on and begins pumping the waste through to the main sewer or septic line.
While our preferred house brand for installations is Zoeller Pumps, Friedman Plumbing Express technicians are licensed and trained on any configurations and brands of sewage ejector pump replacement or repair. Avoid the potential mess, and ensure you are following local plumbing code requirements by contacting us for a sewage ejector pump replacement or repair.
